Chapter 1 begins early in the morning with Jay's 17 year old son eating breakfast, He gives jay the narrow window to use the bathroom. Jay has many standards, and hygiene is one of them. As he grabs the toothpaste she realizes its empty. Jay asks his son George. Jay reminded his son countless times that most productive arguments are future tense.
